About This Course

        Affordable STEM construction system that taps into children's natural inquisitiveness. VEX GO utilizes the VEX plastic construction system but adapted for elementary students. The approachability of VEX GO allows young students to investigate, tinker, explore, make mistakes and try again. VEX GO fosters critical learning at an age when young minds are still open to their full potential.

Topics Covered in this Class

       The beginner class has initiated the basic knowledge of Vex go equipment and coding platform. The advanced class will focus on how to utilize the knowledge learned to build robot with multiple functions that can finish the tasks on the competition field and a low key with fun competition will be host as showcase to keep the interest and learning motivation for students. Last one or 2 classes will be for transition kids to next level of equipment (Vex IQ)

  • Lesson 1: Review of coding platform and initiate the building of competition robot

  • Lesson 2: Competition robot driving base building 

  • lesson 3: Competition robot driving base coding and test run

  • lesson 4: Competition robot maze coding and sensor implementation

  • Lesson5: Competition robot claw building and coding

  • Lesson 6: Claw bot tasks coding and test run with midterm competition

  • Lesson7: Arm bot building and test run

  • Lesson 8, Competition preparation

  • Lesson 9-10, Competition and showcase (process may vary depend on the progress)

  • Lesson 11: Introduction of Vex IQ equipment

  • Lesson 12: Introduction of Vex IQ coding platform for next Level class.

Portfolio-Boosting Diploma & Transcript
  • At the conclusion of your child's course, they will receive an official Burning Gear Robotics diploma and course transcript outlining the skills they learned over the course of these 12 classes
